We recently reviewed the outstanding OB Wheels app, by Dr. Joshua Steinberg, one of the most well-known and prolific medical-app developers and also a family medicine physician. But Dr. Émilie Coudière also created an excellent OB wheel app called Prego Wheel. It’s very basic but useful.
My go-to OB wheel remains OB Wheels by Dr. Steinberg or the outstanding Perfect OB Tracker by Dr. Evan Schoenberg due to their added functionality regarding correcting EDD for sonography data and/or patient tracking functions. For some providers, Prego Wheel may just be what the doctor ordered — a basic, free OB wheel.
You are seeing one of your continuity obstetric patients today. The pregnancy is uncomplicated so far. You are about to go into the room and need to calculate how far along the patient’s pregnancy is as of today’s date based on the patient’s LMP. How many weeks is she today? Prego Wheel will help you with this decision! Let’s take a look at Prego Wheel in action.
Prego Wheel is designed by a family medicine physician who practices continuity obstetrics. The app lacks any information about the source of its calculator such as ACOG. It lacks any advanced functionality or references, but — per information from the developer’s website — this was by design. The app is intended to be a fast, accurate OB wheel for use at the point of care.
What providers would benefit from this App?
Students, residents, mid-levels, family medicine, midwives, ob/gyn and any provider who performs obstetrics.

- Simple, quick, accurate interface for data entry
- Available in French and Arabic
- Designed by a practicing physician for physicians
- Not available for Android
- No patient tracking capabilities
- No references
A deliberately basic OB wheel app designed by a family physician for his own use now available for everyone for free. The app lacks any bells and whistles such as patient tracking, ultrasound EGA options or even multiple options of data entry. But the app does what it is supposed to do, nothing more, and works flawlessly.
- Overall Score
- User Interface
Easy to use for the most part for scrollable-only entry of LMP, GA and EDD. No sono EGA’s option/correction.
- Multimedia Usage
No real multimedia capabilities, but unnecessary in this type of app. No patient tracker function. No references or links.
App is free!
- Real World Applicability
A dead simple OB wheel that many will enjoy using but it omits some handy functionality found in other wheels.
