Medicus AI was created by a team of doctors to help patients manage their health information. Most interestingly, it tries to help patients interpret and understand what different medical test results mean. Going a step beyond the normal ranges that typically accompany blood work when a patient sees results, the app claims to use artificial intelligence (AI) to mimic medical reasoning performed by physicians and other health care providers. It’s not entirely clear what that means, though their website indicates this reasoning is based on medical guidelines and similar references, rather than an individual’s health history. They are apparently working on CE marking in Europe. They do seem to have a credible team in place so it’s an app worth watching, though not one we’d recommend to patients at this point.
