Cerebral palsy (CP) is one of the most common causes of childhood disability with about 10,000 infants being diagnosed each year. Out of these CP patients, one in three will end up developing hip issues that can be managed with early screening.

The HipScreen app was developed by CP experts Drs Vedant Kulkarni and Jon Davids, at Shriners Childrens hospital, as a free resource for providers, patients and their families to better understand and utilize hip surveillance protocols for children with cerebral palsy.

The HipScreen app is a great medical app for physicians to use for hip surveillance in the pediatric population.  HipScreen enables physicians  to measure hip migration percentage on individual X-rays.  HipScreen also contains useful educational information and was developed by Shriners, a reputable institution.  One of the medical apps limitations is the lack of a search function.
