While the information in this medical app is good and is backed by a reputable institution like the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the medical app could have been significantly improved if the content had been optimized for mobile form. Clearly, the protocols in the trauma app are UAB centric, but outside institutions could have utilized the great content uploaded in the app as well.  It would be great to see the UAB team try to optimize their trauma app so that other institutions could use some of the information provided more easily.  For example, Michigan recently made a great Preoperative medical app for their patients, but other surgeons can utilize it as well.
