We recently reviewed Gross Pathology, a medical app for Pathologists who perform gross anatomy dissections.  Johns Hopkins Pathology has had a set of pathology apps available in the medical app store for some time, and they continue to iterate on them.  We’ve been impressed by the constant updates of their apps, something many other medical centers fail to do.  In this review, we decided to take a look at their free pathology apps in more detail.

The pancreatic pathology and cytopathology apps are fantastic with great images, a wealth of knowledge, and options for self-learning and quizzes. The standalone flashcard app doesn’t seem very useful, especially with the 2 pathology apps having their own flashcard modules. I think if users could import their flashcard sets from the pathology apps into the standalone flashcard app it would be far more useful. Overall a great medical app for pathology learning.
