The UK’s Resuscitation Council has updated their famed iResus app. The UK resuscitation council is analogous to the American Heart Association (AHA) — and they set guidelines for ACLS (advanced cardiac life support).
The iResus app was actually a part of a randomized control trial in the UK that showed improved physician performance when utilizing the app.
In our review of the app more than 4 years ago we came away impressed by the UK resuscitation councils’ efforts.
It’s unfortunate the American Heart Association still won’t create a free ACLS guidelines app similar to iResus. The AHA has an app called Full Code Pro, but that app does not contain the ACLS algorithms, and is simply used to document critical care interventions.
The UK Resuscitation Council’s iResus app is obviously a must download for anyone practicing in the UK.
