OrthoGuidelines
OrthoGuidelines, published by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), provides access to the clinical practice guidelines recommendations by the AAOS. We have reviewed several of the AAOS apps before: Elbow exam, Appropriate Use Criteria, and Knee exam.
OrthoGuidelines received funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) for this app and has made it free for download. An underlying theme of the app is a focus on evidence based medicine.
The cool thing about this app is there are great guidelines that primary care physicians can utilize as well — such as management for rotator cuffs injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and more.
