The Help section is concise and addresses the basics of use and some troubleshooting. A nice feature here would be inclusion of a video to show the user how to apply the device, since there is a little bit of a learning curve. The Support section is a quick way to send the folks at Qardio a message.

Tapping on the Blood Pressure icon takes us back to where we started, from where we can initiate a measurement and view the blood pressure history. We can also set reminders from this screen. Deleting reminders was less intuitive but can be done by swiping to the left.

Once the device is paired, starting a measurement is quite straightfoward: the large green button in the middle of the screen labelled “Start,” as well as the fact that this is the app’s home screen, are nice examples of the attention paid to usability and form.

I set the device to take two measurements separated by 30 seconds. During that gap and just before measurement, the app displays short tips on blood pressure self-care, which I found to be a great idea though the messages could be improved. The device takes two measurements and displays the average after both are obtained. We can also add a free text note prior to saving the reading.
