On Friday, iMedicalApps had the opportunity to attend the 2013 USC Body Computing Conference, which showcases mobile technology’s ability to enhance and innovate in medicine.
The events agenda included multiple product demo’s, announcements, and panels with thought leaders in mHealth and the quantified self movement. Particularly exciting for me were several panels hosted by pioneers in the sensor industry (Jawbone, Misfit Wearables), which is one of the hottest segments in both consumer and medical technology. Social media and the “Cloud” also played a significantly large role in the event, including the first public demonstration of Biogram, a service which integrates vitality statistics with Instagram.
At iMedicalApps, we’re particularly focused on the impact of these technologies on how we practice medicine on a day to day basis. This week, we’ll be sharing some of the highlights of the conference.
