The Society for Participatory Medicine (S4PM) and iMedicalApps put on another special e-Patient mHealth chat last night! We discussed various aspects of the use of mobile health apps including adoption, medical accuracy, and cost.

Topics included:

  • T1: We often say that there is an app for “everything.” Are there certain health-related things we should never use an app for? Are there health-related things we should definitely use an app for?
  • T2: Do you verify the medical legitimacy behind the apps you use? If so, how? If not, why not?
  • T3:What is a good health app worth? What determines your willingness to pay for an app? How do you determine an acceptable price?

Thanks to everyone who participated! The archive is available here. Stay tuned for upcoming mHealth chats!
