Airstrip Technologies produces several highly designed mobile applications for real time off-site monitoring of patients. They are most famous for their Airstrip OB app, which allows for real-time fetal heartbeat monitoring on the iPhone, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile Phone. Notably missing is the Android platform – but no longer. Airstrip is now offering support for Sprint Android phones – such as the Evo and Epic. The Android iteration of the app, as with other versions on other mobile operating systems, is both HIPAA compliant and FDA cleared.
