This past week we wrote about Wahoo's bluetooth heart rate monitor that seamlessly syncs with an iPhone 4s using Bluetooth 4.0 technology: http://www.imedicalapps.com/2012/01/heart-rate-monitor-bluetooth-technology/
You might remember that we wrote about how the iPhone 4s was the first phone to offer bluetooth 4.0, aka "smart" bluetooth capability:

I think it would be so cool to be able to go to the gym, do a workout and then see the results on my iPhone. That would be epic!
From a medical perspective, can you imagine what it would be like if all the various support machines became completely digital and linked into a central database which was accessible from your phone. It would be a bit like airstrip but even bigger!

We've actually talked Wahoo about their heart rate monitor and are currently in the works for testing it out! We'll have a full review up soon.
