Thanks for the tip, it looks like a great app. They have a very nice website (http://mdezlabs.com/) and it is always great to see medical professionals solving their own problems by writing software for their own needs. We will check it out.

Thanks for the review. I just wanted to suggest a new app I found. It is called "MD ezLabs" and it is free. Maybe you can check it out and give us your opinion as you compare it to the ones you have already tested. This new app gives you a list of lap parameters (search bar included at the top), and when you tap on one, it shows you the normal levels and possible differentials if the values are low or high. Then it will link to a google search of that parameter in the in-app browser. I like that fact that it is free and also the fact that it suggests differentials for high and low values. However, it the list of possible lab parameters is probably not as extensive as other apps. Still - worth while to check it out.

I work at the ICU in a large hospital and use Lab Tests on a daily basis. It has extensive information for each value. Furthermore, the explanation of high / low values actually improves my diagnosing skills. Well worth the extra few bucks.

To the First Comment-

True, Epocrates does have an excellent lab values section, but you need to be buy their premium package in order to use it.

Jeff-

We look forward to seeing the updates of your app! I can't imagine programming while in med school, you've definitely got a well built application though.
Thanks for the review. You definitely hit the nail on what I'm currently working on for Pocket Lab Values 2.0. It's that just school kinda comes first so I can't spend an entire day programming crazily like I would want.

Rest assured, I am aware of the issues with my application and am working hard to improve.

Thanks for the review!
ePocrates essentials has an excellent lab values section with reference ranges, differentials based on values and information about the tests including basic information on what it is, how it's collected, the cost, and even has a section for you to add your own notes
